We provide individuals in research and related fields with training and resources on many of the “survival skills” needed to succeed as a professional. We cover a broad range of topics, including writing research articles, making oral presentations, obtaining funding, teaching, supervising, and mentoring, as well as issues of research ethics.
We offer a number of programs at University of Pittsburgh, and we occasionally offer instruction at other locations, nationally and internationally.
In addition to our programs for individuals who wish to learn a specific skill, such a grant writing, we also run an annual conference for senior individuals who wish to learn how to implement a Surival Skills and Ethics Program at their institution.
